Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Mi-480 Table Lamp by Raza Zahid Designed as a decorative light, the Mi-480 deals with the idea of a textured skin, creating layers of transparent, translucent and opaque patterns. The gradients of light and shade that result, give the surface a sense of visual depth which changes depending upon the viewing angle. 480 pieces of acrylic, varying in size are illuminated by a single light source, located in the centre. This further helps create the illusion of a richly textured skin. Carefully placed gaps in the skin allow for rays of light to escape through, creating their own patterns onto the surroundings.
