Airom Lamp

HIROTO NAKAMURA

Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Airom Lamp by HIROTO NAKAMURA Airom is an indoor freestanding lighting product that treats air as a design parameter rather than a passive medium. Inspired by the constantly shifting clouds of Okinawa and the structure of traditional Japanese paper balloons, its form is created only when air is introduced and shaped by hand. Made from tracing paper, the light softly diffuses illumination through fine wrinkles and textures. Each form is unique, shaped by user interaction, transforming lighting from a fixed object into a participatory spatial experience.
